Vinpower Digital announced today that all new ACARD controller production, beginning in March 2019, will include the ability to implement DVD copy protection, using Vinpower’s proprietary CopyLock application. The CopyLock technology allows users the ability to embed copy protection into their original master discs. The ACARD controller can enable the CopyLock embedded master disc to transfer that protection, so that every copy will be produced with copy protection to help prevent the unauthorized reproduction of proprietary video content.
CopyLock is a patented technology, developed by Vinpower, Inc., that allows a device to embed a DVD video master disc with the ability to protect against both reproduction and ripping of the protected content during the initial duplication process. The CopyLock technology can be utilized via a license dongle or directly through the duplicator without requiring a license if utilized with specific authorized Optodisc manufactured media.

LITE-ON Storage, an established leader in the rapidly expanding solid-state drive (SSD) industry, revealed today it will ship its first storage drive supporting the recently-approved Project Denali 1.0 specification this summer.
Announced at the 2019 Open Compute Project (OCP) Global Summit in San Jose, Calif., LITE-ON said its new Open Channel AD2 series SSD, built in collaboration with CNEX Labs, developer of a transformative architecture for SSD controllers, will give data center organizations a powerful option for improving performance and reducing costs related to cloud and enterprise-based workloads.
“We’ve been at this for quite a while, and with recent progress building out the Project Denali spec, we believe we’ll be ready to ship in the second quarter of this year,” said Darlo Perez, Managing Director of the Americas region for LITE-ON. “For our customers, this should mean massive potential improvements in quality of service (QoS) for cloud computing and enterprise storage. We couldn’t be more excited.”
