Questions DVDs

M-Disc DVD is good for long term archiving or just marketing? Is it the same as regular DVDs?

Is there any problem if I store 6 DVDboxes with discs inside in a horizontal position, each box on top of the next box horizontally inside a closed shoe box?

Does MDisc DVD or common DVD have any resistance to damage and fissure when pressing the center of the disc to fit in the center of the dvdbox?

If you believe the marketing, then yes, it is good for long term archiving. In reality though, no one has really done any studies to see how well they compare to good quality media in the long term.

Optical discs are designed to be stacked horizontally. The center sections are slightly thicker so that they can sit on a spindle or whatever, without there being a little bit of space between the outer section where the data is stored.

I store 6 DVD discs stacked horizontally like the photo in the long term, inside the DVD box, does this pose any risk to the media?

I also have this DVD box for two discs. Is there any problem in storing two discs in this box?
