Team Group Inc. will be announcing four new C series flash drive disks C111/C112/C113/C114 at 2011 Computex Taipei, covering both the mainstream USB 2.0 and new generation USB 3.0 high speed interface. As the USB 3.0’s high speed wave sweeps across the consumer electronics market, Team Group Inc. introduces two new USB 3.0 flash drive disks, the C113 and C114, to satisfy consumer’s longing to try out high speed transfer. With a bandwidth up to 5Gbps, C113/114 USB 3.0 disks allow consumers to fully enjoy the ultra speed sensation during large size data transmission, as it only takes 70 seconds to complete transferring a 25GB high definition video. C113/114 is suitable for demanding multimedia enthusiast consumers. Both flash drive disks are equipped with LED displays so that users may keep track of the file transfer status at any time. The C113’s cap may be fixed to the end when using to prevent the cap from missing. Team Group Inc. had actively deployed strategic products for the year 2011, and will release all new card reader series products for the first time at 2011 Computex. The first that was announced would be the 42-in-1 USB 3.0 high speed card reader – TR1151. It combines three major features of high performance, compatibility and lightweight in one, supporting the new generation SDXC UHS-1 specifications and weighs only 80 grams with an ultra thin volume. It is said at the moment to be the smallest USB 3.0 card reader in the industry.
Team Group’s TR1151 card reader has a colorful painting design targeting the younger consumers. Two different types of Pop Art designs add more fun to users’ everyday life. I-O Data Japan sent out a press release this morning, announcing its new external 12x Blu-ray Disc writer, the BRD-UT12. Based on what appears to be the LG BH12NS35, this USB 3.0 equipped drive is capable of 12x BD-R, 12x BD-R DL, 6x BD-R LTH, 2x BD-RE and 2x BD-RE DL writing speeds and a maximum BD-ROM read speed of 10x. The BRD-UT12 also supports 3D Blu-ray playback and features a handy LED that lights up blue when the drive plugged into a USB 3.0 port or green when using USB 2.0.
The BRD-UT12 comes bundled with WinDVD BD3D, DVD MovieWriter7 BD Version and Nero 9 Essentials and is expected to cost 22,100 Yen ($272US) when it hits stores in late June.

Renesas Electronics, a premier provider of advanced semiconductor solutions, today announced that the cumulative total shipment of the company's SuperSpeed Universal Serial Bus (USB 3.0) host controllers has reached 30 million units worldwide as of May 19, 2011. This achievement comes only a year and a half after starting mass production of the world's first USB host controller (µPD720200) in September 2009, and is the landmark that establishes Renesas as the clear number one manufacturer of USB 3.0 host controllers. The company also announced that to further address increasing orders from customers, it plans to double production of USB 3.0 host controllers to a monthly production of six million units starting this June.
As a member of the USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF) since 1996, Renesas Electronics (formerly NEC Electronics) has played a leading role both in defining USB standards and in developing USB technology. In April 2000, the company (then NEC Electronics) launched the µPD720100 device, the world's first USB 2.0-compliant host controller chip and an extensive lineup of other USB devices, and has earned a reputation for delivering dedicated customer service and high quality.
In May 2009, Renesas Electronics (then NEC Electronics) introduced the industry's first USB 3.0 xHCI host controller and, only after four months of its release, the company became the world's first to earn the "Certified SuperSpeed USB (USB 3.0)" certification from the USB-IF, and also started mass production of the µPD720200 host controller. In the following year, the company released its second USB 3.0 xHCI host controller (µPD720200A) and passed the compliance and certification testing in only two months. These host controllers have become the de facto USB 3.0 host controller standard realizing the best interoperability between PCs and PC peripherals that support USB 3.0.
