These new drives include: PICO-A, with a swivel lid; the retractable PICO-B; and ultra small PICO-C. Super Talent’s patented PICO series USB drives are manufactured using chip-on-board (COB) technology, which enables up to 8GB of Flash storage to fit into an incredibly minute case. PICO-C drives weigh less than a nickel (about 4.7 grams) and measure only 31.3mm x 12.4mm x 3.4mm.
PICO series drives are shock resistant, storing data securely even under adverse conditions. They also support read speeds upwards of 30MB/sec (200X) for lightning fast access to files. Super Talent Marketing Director, Joe James explained, “These 8GB PICO drives have redefined mobile storage, combining new levels of speed, elegance and durability into the world’s smallest pen drive”.

SanDisk Corporation (NASDAQ:SNDK) today introduced Cruzer Enterprise FIPS Edition, a USB flash drive with security certified by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) of the United States through its Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) program.
Many government agencies require FIPS certification for portable storage devices, as do some private-sector companies in highly regulated industries such as financial services and healthcare. Based on SanDisk’s secure Cruzer Enterprise flash drive, the new Cruzer Enterprise FIPS Edition has additional data protection features including:
- A software self-test routine that automatically runs whenever the drive is powered up, to verify the drive’s cryptographic function is intact.
- Physical protection for the drive’s internal security module to deter tampering.

The FSD56GC25H uses an industry standard 2.5-inch hard drive form factor and uses an industry standard SATA-I interface, making it 100% interchangeable with conventional 2.5-inch SATA hard drives. This SSD implements Super Talent’s patented stacking technology to pack an enormous amount of solid state storage into an exceptionally small and slim case, measuring a mere 12.5mm thick - 40% thinner than any other 256GB SSD available. The signature black case is made from a durable lightweight aluminum alloy.
The FSD56GC25H drive supports 0.1ms access times, a maximum of 65MB/sec sequential read speed and 50MB/sec sequential write speed. This SSD supports up to 1600G of shock and 16G of vibration, which is about five times greater than typical hard drives. With ECC support, bad bit management firmware and patented wear leveling technology, this drive offers extreme reliability and endurance.
