Today LaCie announced the unveiling of a significant Thunderbolt technology demonstration at the Intel® booth (#M0410) during Computex 2011, from June 1-4, in Taipei, Taiwan. The demonstration will showcase multiple LaCie Little Big Disks Thunderbolt Series in a daisy chain, delivering speeds up to 835MB/s – the fastest performance achieved by any mobile storage solution.

A perfect configuration for video professionals and demanding users, the LaCie Little Big Disk Thunderbolt Series is the first peripheral to showcase daisy chain capability between a high-end display and multiple storage devices, with no compromise in performance. For example, a professional display such as LaCie’s 324i, together with up to five additional hard drives can deliver enough bandwidth to support several 1080p uncompressed streams of HD video in Final Cut Pro. Even better, professionals can connect to the entire configuration with a single Thunderbolt cable.

This kind of speed development is unheard of in mobile storage devices. Now, with the Little Big Disk Thunderbolt Series, professionals can handle projects that were previously tied to server rooms, in the palm of their hands. With the Little Big Disk Thunderbolt Series, high-end studio editing is now possible on the go.

The global leader in optical storage solutions, Lite-On gives visitors to their Computex stand the chance to try a pre-release version of MyDisk Suite, their revolutionary integrated disc burning tool for the PC, iPad, & iPhone. Also on display will be their new generation of optical drives including the USB 3.0 eHBU212 12x BD burner.

MyDisk Suite consisting of DiskCollection, DiskIndex, DiskCase, and DiskMobile, was developed after a survey showed that 83% of users hadn’t installed the burning software that came with their drives because of perceived complexity. It hopes to solve this by taking a very different approach that closely matches how today’s social generation actually use disc burners.

The MyDisk suite set of applications for the PC, iPad, & iPhone, requires only a few natural steps to use, but brings together – drag-and-drop disc burning, file/disc indexing, customized autorun menus, personalized disc covers, iOS image burning.

“Lite-On has built our brand by using innovation to serve consumers. When we discovered the difficulties users had with current burning software we knew that we had used this ability to create a solution. MyDisk Suite is the first disc software built to fit with the way the social generation uses burners, customizes, and shares. Its rich, simple-to-use interface integrates PC, iPhone, and iPad”, said Marketing Manager.
