Lexar, a leading global brand of flash memory products, today enhanced its Professional Workflow line to include the new Lexar Professional Workflow HR2, a four-bay Thunderbolt 2 reader hub, and the new Lexar Professional Workflow CR2, a CFast 2.0 Thunderbolt 2 reader. Both solutions give professional photographers and videographers the ability to quickly transfer 4K video and other large media files at speeds up to 20Gb per second, four times the performance of the current USB 3.0 HR1 hub.
The Professional Workflow HR2 provides dual Thunderbolt 2 ports for daisy-chaining and one USB 3.0 port, giving users total freedom to choose which interface they want to connect with. The Professional Workflow CR2 can be used in the reader hub alongside other readers or removed and used individually when in the field. Both the reader hub and reader are fully backwards compatible with the first generation of Thunderbolt and USB 2.0.

Designed for use with the Lexar Professional Workflow Hub, the new Professional Workflow DD512 and DD256 storage drives give photographers and videographers the power to back up images and video files from multiple memory cards at once.
The Professional Workflow DD512 and DD256 offer read transfer speeds up to 450MB per second and write speeds up to 245MB per second. Additionally, the drives include an LED capacity meter that allows users to see available storage space at a glance. Macronix, a leading provider of non-volatile memory solutions, today announced it has started production of its second generation of Single-Level Cell (SLC) NAND Flash, utilizing 36nm floating-gate technology. The 36nm floating-gate technology was developed at Macronix's state of the art 300mm fab.
The new SLC NAND family will be offered in densities from 1Gb to 8Gb in both 3.0V and 1.8V voltages, extended industrial temperature range with product longevity support. Macronix has also unveiled NAND-based MCP (Multi-Chip Package) solutions to provide customers a complete portfolio of NAND Flash products. These NAND and MCP products are targeted at a broad range of applications for the embedded and wireless markets.
