Add a commentGreenliant Systems, a leader in energy-efficient, highly secure and reliable solid state storage products, has introduced its new G7100 Series G-card NVMe flash storage products to select system integrators, OEMs, enterprise and Internet customers. G-card is Greenliant’s high capacity NVMe flash storage solution designed for primary storage applications that require ultra-high reliability with sustainable low-latency and high IOPS performance. Building on Greenliant’s expertise in embedded storage, G-card complements the NANDrive™ and ArmourDrive™ solid state drive (SSD) families to provide a comprehensive portfolio of data storage solutions.
G-card utilizes Greenliant’s advanced controller and an array of NANDrive SSDs in a standard PCIe add-in card form factor. In contrast to other PCIe flash cards that use discrete NAND, G-card deploys Distributed ECC Architecture with each NANDrive building-block having its own ECC engine. This innovative architecture not only improves scalability in card capacity, but also ensures sustainable performance and reliability during the product life. In addition to the distributed ECC engines, G-card is equipped with on-board hardware RAID to provide an industry leading system-level lifetime endurance of up to 10 Drive Writes Per Day (DWPD) for 5 years. With an intelligent power interrupt data protection circuit for the on-board buffer memory, G-card can commit host write operations without risk of data loss due to sudden power interruptions. Being NVMe compliant, G-card is bootable on multiple operating systems.

Add a commentCyberLink Corp., the world’s leading consumer multimedia software company, today announced support for the latest standard in Digital Rights Management—SeeQVault. A technology developed by leading equipment manufacturers Panasonic, Sony, Samsung and Toshiba, SeeQVault enables the playback and transfer of HD/4K UHD content, whether purchased, rented or recorded, across in-home devices in a secure environment.
With SeeQVault users can record TV programs on their PVR, and then transfer them to a PC via USB or SD card for playback using a SeeQVault-supported media player. This helps to address a missing link in the current HD/4K UHD consumer entertainment ecosystem, allowing users to side-step current impediments to playback such as device capacity, data caps, broadband access and bandwidth restrictions, among others.
“Support for SeeQVault technology opens up a whole new spectrum of playback options for users who record DRM-protected content from their TVs,” said Alice H. Chang, CEO of CyberLink. “SeeQVault not only moves large HD/4K UHD files from recording devices to PCs much more conveniently, but it does so in an extremely flexible and secure environment.”
