Micron Technology, Inc. and Seagate Technology plc today announced a strategic agreement that establishes a framework for combining the innovation and expertise of both companies. The framework of the agreement will enable customers of the two companies to benefit from a focused approach to deliver industry-leading storage solutions, helping them innovate faster and more effectively.
While initially focusing on next-generation SAS SSDs and strategic NAND supply, Micron and Seagate anticipate that this multi-year agreement will extend into future collaboration on enterprise storage solutions featuring Micron NAND flash memory.

ADM is the exclusive operating system for ASUSTOR NAS. Following the release of ADM 2.3, the release of the ADM 2.4 beta version allows users to experience newly optimized performance and enhanced core system functions.
One of the upgraded core functions is the brand new shared folder encryption mechanism which effectively increases data encryption speeds while properly releasing storage space previously occupied by already deleted files to slim down the capacity occupied by encrypted data. With regards to encrypted folders that were created using ASUSTOR’s previous encryption method, a conversion function is provided on the settings page for easy converting without any complicated steps. Another newly added core function is support for the SSD Trim command which allows SSDs installed on the NAS to maintain stable read/write performance while simultaneously controlling the frequency of overwriting to specific blocks, extending the life of SSDs.

Synology America Corp. today announced that the DiskStation DS215j is now available for purchase and the DS115 will be available next week.
"The DS215j and the DS115 were delayed in Q4 due to the west coast dock issues, and with this behind us, we've seen a lot of demand for these new models, and we're really excited to see them available in the US and soon in Canada," said Jason Bonoan, Product Marketing Manager at Synology America Corp.
