QNAP Systems, Inc. announced the release of firmware v3.2.0 for the QGenie Mobile NAS, adding File Station Lite and supporting FTP servers for remote access and for faster file transfers.

It provides a simple way for users to upload, download, and share a large number of files to and from their QGenie,” said Hanz Sung, product manager of QNAP, adding “File Station Lite is a great utility for easily managing the files on a QGenie from a web browser, and by adding this new feature we hope that every QGenie user can take full advantage of its file management to enhance their digital life.”

Besides File Station Lite, QGenie now supports FTP server functionality to provide a new way to transfer files between QGenie and desktop computers by using FTP applications such as FileZilla.

QNAP Systems, Inc. today announced the release of the industry’s first Qfinder Chrome app, enabling Chromebook and Chrome users to quickly search for and connect to their Turbo NAS over LAN with only a few clicks. QNAP has also updated the Windows version of Qfinder, adding support for smart installation and storage pool settings.

QNAP Systems, Inc. today released the Turbo NAS QTS 4.1.2 operating system, introducing NAS Installation over HDMI - a pioneering function in the NAS market that allows installing a NAS without a network connection, and adds several new features including VPN Server support, VPN Client support, block-based LUN backup, subtitle (*.SRT) support for Video Station and File Station, embedding subtitles into transcoded videos, Chromecast streaming, and more.
