CRU, a leading provider of high-quality data security, data transport and disaster-proof data storage devices, today announced the launch of the ioSafe 1019+ 5-Bay Network Attached Storage (NAS) device. The device can protect up to 140TB of data from fire or water damage in the event of a disaster and provides data backup, file syncing and sharing, and media management.
The ioSafe 1019+ keeps digital work secure in temperatures up to 1,550 degrees Fahrenheit for up to 30 minutes, which is long enough to survive most fires. In addition, its waterproof capabilities protect data should the device be submerged in up to 10 feet of water for three days. Aside from disaster proofing capabilities, the device offers 256-bit AES encryption, floor or rack mount kits and a full data recovery service.
"Following CRU's acquisition of ioSafe in July 2018, we've been working to release new disaster-proof ioSafe devices," said Randal Barber, CEO of CRU. "We're thrilled to release the 1019+ as the first of these products. The device plays an essential role in disaster planning as it empowers businesses and government agencies with the technology needed to quickly get back up and running when a plumbing or HVAC leak, building fire or major disaster occurs."
The ioSafe 1019+ is based on the Synology DS1019+ NAS device. It uses the Synology Disk Station Manager (DSM) operating system in combination with ioSafe's patented DataCast™ and Hydrosafe™ technologies to protect its hard drives and stored data from damage.

ASUSTOR Inc. today is thrilled to announce the launch of two enthusiast grade NAS devices, the two bay Nimbustor 2 and the four bay Nimbustor 4. The New Nimbustor series are also known by their original model numbers. The Nimbustor 2 is also known as the AS5202T, while the Nimbustor 4 is known as the AS5304T. Synology Inc. today launched RackStation RS819, a compact and scalable 4-bay rackmount NAS with snapshot technology support, designed for business workgroups to effectively manage, share, synchronize, and back up data.

(QNAP) today launched the TR-002, a 2-bay hardware RAID expansion enclosure that can be utilized as a NAS storage expansion solution, and also as hardware RAID storage for Windows/macOS/Linux computers and NAS. The TR-002 connects to a PC/NAS via USB 3.1 Gen.2 Type-C and provides a dependable storage solution for various user requirements.
The TR-002 supports individual, JBOD and RAID 0/1 storage configurations. QNAP NAS users can use the TR-002 with their NAS to set RAID parameters and create a storage pool by using the “Storage and Snapshots” app within QTS. Alternatively, the TR-002 can be used as an external storage device for the NAS. Windows, macOS and Linux users with limited storage upgrade options can also use the TR-002 as an expansion unit, and a dedicated QNAP External RAID Manager utility (for Windows and macOS) can help them view disk health, change RAID configurations, check logs, and update the firmware of the TR-002.
