As modern technology utilizes a wide variety of data connectors, the demand for storage devices with versatile interface is increasing. The TowerSTOR series features Firewire 400 (1394a), Firewire 800 (1394b), eSATA, and USB 2.0 ports, allowing easy integration to any computer. The TS1UT and TS1CT are portable 1-bay enclosures with triple and quad interfaces. Built with integrated heat sink to provide quiet operation, their compact and durable designs allow these units to be easily portable. The 2-bay TS2CT combines portability and essential redundancy features RAID 0 and 1, making it the ideal solution for studio and home storage. The 4-bay TS4CT is capable of performing up to five different RAID modes, including RAID 0, 1, 0+1, 3, and 5, for a wide range of data storage choices between redundancy and performance. Their embedded and dedicated hardware RAID engines are capable of providing over 220MB/s in performance, while simultaneously eliminating OS compatibility issues.

RAID information and critical system status are displayed via the built-in LCD screen on TS2CT and TS4CT. In addition, the 4-bay unit utilizes automatic cooling fans that detect and turn on only when the temperature exceeds a certain heat level. They are designed with hot-swappable hard drives trays behind their front covers to allow easy trouble shooting and hard drive replacement. The MSRP of TS1UT, TS1CT, TS2CT and TS4CT are $29, $79, $189, and $399 respectively, which are more affordable than other similar units on the market. “The brand new TowerSTOR series consists of cost effective storage solutions with various popular interfaces readily available,” said Grandy Chen, Sans Digital President. “With built-in hardware RAID and durable aluminum housings, the TowerSTOR series thoroughly protects crucial stored data from both hardware and software failures.” For more information on the TowerSTOR series, please visit http://www.sansdigital.com/towerstor/index.php
