KMG Digital announced today that Eastman Kodak Company has designated KMG as the exclusive worldwide licensee for Kodak branded optical blank media products and media accessories. Under this agreement, KMG will market Kodak branded products including recordable optical blank CDs, DVDs, Blu-ray discs and media accessories.

Memorex and Maxell Industry veteran Michael Golacinski established KMG Digital for worldwide sales and marketing of Kodak optical blank media. KMG Digital is based in Rochester, New York and will also have worldwide sales and marketing operations in Los Angeles, California.

The goal of the new KMG organization is to increase the worldwide distribution and sales of Kodak branded optical media and accessory products, with a focus on office superstores, electronic specialty, discount, member club stores as well as strategic online partners.

Haier is expanding its line of home DVD products with the introduction of two new Blu-ray players that will enhance the movie watching experience. With full HD 1080p and streaming Internet video, the players support the high-definition content of Blu-ray discs and instantly stream thousands of movies and TV programs from Netflix or music from Pandora. Sony today introduced its new Blu-ray Disc™ line featuring Blu-ray 3D™ playback, Wi-Fi® Internet connectivity, and instant streaming of online video content from the BRAVIA® Internet Video platform.  The new Sony Blu-ray Disc devices are another example of how Sony is providing consumers with networked products that enhance the home entertainment experience.

Continuing Panasonic's tradition of presenting innovative entertainment products, the DMP-B500 and DMP-B100 are designed to provide the ultimate high definition experience for those traveling, as well as serving as an additional stand alone Blu-ray Disc player for use with multiple TVs, either in the home, a second vacation home or a hotel room.

Both the DMP-B500 and DMP-B100 feature much of the same state-of-the-art technology found in Panasonic's stand alone Blu-ray Disc players, including the PHL Reference Chroma Processor Plus technology, a proprietary technology developed in collaboration with Panasonic Hollywood Laboratory, which assures the highest level picture quality. Toshiba Corporation today announced an expanded line-up of NAND-flash-based solid state drives (SSDs) based on the company's 32nm Multi-Level Cell NAND flash memories. The new drives include the industry's first 128-gigabyte (GB) Half-Slim/mSATA SG Series SSD modules, ideally suited for a variety of applications including mini-mobile and netbook PCs, and the HG Series that delivers all the high level performance and endurance essential for notebook computers and for gaming and home entertainment systems.

The industry's first 128GB mSATA and Half-Slim modules, the fruits of Toshiba's layering technology, drives that are ideal for application in mobile applications, such as mini mobile PCs and netbooks.
