QNAP Systems, Inc. today launched the Mustang-200 dual-CPU computing accelerator card with 10GbE network connectivity (available with Intel® Core™ i5 / Core™ i7 / Celeron® processors). By installing the card in a compatible QNAP NAS' (or PC's) PCIe slot, users will essentially add two processors to their system for increased computing capabilities to provide a flexible performance boost to their IT infrastructure and applications.

ASUSTOR Inc. has launched the AS-T10G 10G Base-T network card to provide customers with the ability to upgrade their devices to the fastest speeds available for consumers.
The AS-T10G supports 10GbE speeds and is backwards compatible with 5GbE, 2.5GbE, 1GbE and 100MbE speeds while sporting an RJ-45 port. ASUSTOR ADM, Windows, Linux, Mac OS and VMware ESXi are all supported, allowing flexible installations.

Synology Inc. today launched its first mesh router, MR2200ac, supporting Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA3). Being a high-performance wireless router with a modular design, its coverage can be easily expanded with additional units to create a mesh network for connected homes of all sizes.
The number of connected devices worldwide will increase by 12% on average annually, from 27 billion in 2017 to 125 billion in 2030, according to IHS Markit. "When we looked at this, we realized that it wasn't just a matter of keeping devices connected," said Kuei-Huan Chen, Senior Manager, Synology. "It's also a matter of understanding what's happening in our network in order to protect our devices – and family – from external exploits. That's what we built the MR2200ac to do. Through our work with Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., MR2200ac supports the latest Wi-Fi and security technologies to make a network smarter and safer."

Synology Inc. today officially announced Surveillance Station 8.2. This release showcases LiveCam, a brand new security camera app that instantly turns a spare phone into an IP camera. The iOS version has been released with the Android version coming around October. The revamp of DS cam offers higher performance, along with the addition of IP speakers to the hardware support list. The next generation of Application Center offers greater flexibility for application management.
