QNAP Systems, Inc. today launched the 2-bay TS-251D NAS. Powered by an Intel J4005 dual-core processor, the TS-251D can be used with QNAP’s smart AI photo management application, QuMagie, which integrates AI image recognition to group similar photos together in album “People”, “Things” and “Places”. The 4K media transcoding and streaming capabilities of the TS-251D brings users an excellent and satisfying cross-device multimedia experience. The TS-251D also provides a PCIe slot for expanding its core functionality.
Powered by an Intel Celeron J4005 dual-core 2.0GHz processor (burst up to 2.7 GHz), DDR4 RAM (up to 8GB), one Gigabit LAN port, and supports SATA 6Gbps drives. The TS-251D provides dependable read/write speeds and Intel AES-NI 256 hardware-accelerated encryption to secure sensitive and confidential data on the NAS. The TS-251D also supports snapshots, allowing users to quickly recover data in the event of accidental deletion/modification or ransomware attack.

To meet market demands for reliable and low-latency Fibre Channel (FC) SAN, QNAP Systems, Inc. has launched two in-house developed Fibre Channel expansion cards: the QXP-16G2FC and QXP-32G2FC. The dual-port FC cards feature high performance, reliable, secure, and energy efficient FC connectivity with QXP-16G2FC and QXP-32G2FC respectively supporting 16Gb FC and 32Gb FC connection speeds. A QNAP NAS with a QNAP FC card can be easily added to an existing FC SAN environment, providing enterprises affordable high-performing storage and backup.

The QXG-10G2T-107 uses the Aquantia® AQtion AQC107S Ethernet controller that supports 10/5/2.5/1Gbps and 100Mbps network speeds. The RJ45 connector design also allows users to use existing cables. Transmission speeds can reach up to 5Gbps when using CAT-5e cables, or up to 10Gbps when using CAT 6 (or advanced versions) cables, unleashing the full potential of the QXG-10G2T-107.

QNAP Systems, Inc. today launched the new TVS-x72N 5GbE NAS series, powered by 8th Generation Intel Core i3 processors and features a 5GBASE-T port to deliver transfer speeds up to five times faster than Gigabit Ethernet, making 4K video transfer, display, and editing smooth and streamlined. The TVS-x72N comes with two built-in M.2 SSD slots for enabling SSD caching, features HBS 3 with data deduplication for faster data backup and recovery, and provides cloud storage gateway functions to create a cost-effective hybrid cloud storage environment.

CRU, a leading provider of high-quality data security, data transport and disaster-proof data storage devices, today announced the launch of the ioSafe 1019+ 5-Bay Network Attached Storage (NAS) device. The device can protect up to 140TB of data from fire or water damage in the event of a disaster and provides data backup, file syncing and sharing, and media management.
The ioSafe 1019+ keeps digital work secure in temperatures up to 1,550 degrees Fahrenheit for up to 30 minutes, which is long enough to survive most fires. In addition, its waterproof capabilities protect data should the device be submerged in up to 10 feet of water for three days. Aside from disaster proofing capabilities, the device offers 256-bit AES encryption, floor or rack mount kits and a full data recovery service.
"Following CRU's acquisition of ioSafe in July 2018, we've been working to release new disaster-proof ioSafe devices," said Randal Barber, CEO of CRU.
