BiTMICRO Networks announced this week that it has boosted the capacity of its E-Disk Altima E3S320 solid state drive (SSD) to a whopping 1.6TB. With its Ultra320 SCSI interface, BiTMICRO's new SSD is also expected to deliver sustained data transfer rates of up to 230 MB/sec.

The company will also be showcasing the world's first 32GH SDHC memory card prototype this week. Developed for high-def camcorders, Panasonic's 32GB SDHC card offers 20MB/s transfer speeds and a new user-friendly labeling feature.

Kingston introduced a number of new USB flash drives at CES 2008. One of their more interesting new offerings is the DataTraveler 400. This drive comes preloaded with Migo Software, which allows users to keep their documents and settings synchronized across multiple PCs.
