CyberLink Corp., innovative solutions provider for the connected media lifestyle, is demonstrating the future of home entertainment this week at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES).

3D Blu-ray promises to revolutionize home entertainment.  As recent movie releases have shown, 3D brings an exciting new dimension to both animated and live action movies.  CyberLink’s 3D Blu-ray solution will enable millions of modern PCs to be able to take advantage of powerful graphics processors, decoding the new Multi-View Codec (MVC) for full-quality Blu-ray enjoyment with any compatible display.  Upgrading to CyberLink’s forthcoming version of PowerDVD Ultra will make 3D Blu-ray accessible on millions of desktop and notebook PCs.

"CyberLink is committed to offering the best 3D Blu-ray experience on the widest range of hardware platforms," said Alice H. Chang, CEO of CyberLink.  "Our engineering team has been working very closely with the Blu-ray Disc Association, and with all of the leading hardware vendors, including NVIDIA, AMD, and Intel.  We’re excited to be able to give partners and press at CES a first-hand look at the incredible entertainment experience that 3D Blu-ray will bring to PCs in 2010."

"NVIDIA is excited to provide the world's first GPU accelerated 1080p Blu-ray 3D experience.  We have been working closely with CyberLink to deliver an immersive experience for all GeForce and 3D Vision owners," said Phil Eisler, general manager of NVIDIA 3D Vision technology.  "We are excited to showcase CyberLink's PowerDVD Ultra with Blu-ray 3D playback at NVIDIA's CES 2010 booth."

"Intel is excited to see CyberLink innovate on Intel® HD Graphics to enable Blu-ray Stereo 3D," said Josh Newman, Graphics Marketing Director at Intel. "We are committed to enabling a great media experience for mainstream consumers."

"Bringing 3D Blu-ray entertainment to PCs is just one example of how AMD’s VISION technology, including ATI Radeon™ graphics, will improve the user experience – something we’re previewing at the 2010 CES," said Nigel Dessau, AMD senior vice president and chief marketing officer.  "AMD has worked closely with CyberLink to optimize the performance of PowerDVD Ultra to support the forthcoming 3D Blu-ray standard on AMD platforms and is excited to be one of their featured hardware partners."
