Transcend Releases 112-layer 3D NAND SLC Mode SSDs
Transcend Information, Inc. (Transcend), a leading manufacturer of embedded memory products, recently released a complete range of 112-layer 3D NAND SLC Mode solid-state drives (SSDs). Simulating the behavior of SLC flash, these 3D NAND-based SSDs deliver competitive transfer speeds and longer service life, with endurance reaching 100K P/E cycles. Their cost advantage and high endurance make SLC Mode SSDs ideal for always-on embedded systems and write-intensive devices, bringing high reliability and stability to industrial storage applications.
Organizations and enterprises are increasingly tackling an exponential growth of data. Such challenges require resilient storage devices to transfer large amounts of information. Transcend's SLC Mode technology resolves this dilemma by simulating SLC flash performance and endurance using 3D TLC-based flash, allowing only one bit of data to be stored in a cell. This not only guarantees sustained high speeds and greater endurance, but also provides clients with a more cost-effective option. To cope with various types of operating environments, Transcend utilizes anti-sulfur resistors, Corner Bond technology, and 30µ” gold finger PCBs to ensure key components are able to withstand shock, vibration, and external pollution. Transcend's SSDs are 100% chamber tested in-house, certifying that our wide temperature SLC Mode SSDs are capable of operating at temperatures from -40°C to 85°C.
