Add a commentSynology announced today the launch of the Deep Learning NVR DVA1622 as it expands its efficacious line of deep learning network video recorders with a solution for smaller deployments. Synology previously launched the four-bay DVA3221 to put AI-powered surveillance in the hands of small and medium-sized businesses. For the first time, the new two-bay DVA1622 brings AI-powered analytics within reach of small businesses and households.
A tailored solution for local use
The DVA1622 allows home users, shop owners, and others to profit from up to two simultaneous smart analytics tasks while monitoring up to 16 cameras in the smallest possible footprint. In addition, unlike its larger brother, the DVA1622 supports HDMI output for up to 16 streams on one screen and local controls via two USB ports, eliminating the need for a PC to monitor and manage your deployment.
"We designed the DVA1622 specifically with the needs of small and home users in mind," said Tony Lin, product manager for surveillance at Synology Inc. "That doesn't mean right-sizing its capacity, but also adding additional features to make sure that it can be used with a monitor, mouse, and keyboard for an all-in-one, standalone surveillance solution."
Add a commentaddlink Technology Co., Ltd, a global storage and memory solution provider, is introducing a new PCIe 4.0 SSD, the S90 Lite, featuring storage capacities of up to 2TB and offer speeds up to 5000MB/s. It is compatible with the latest Intel/AMD PC and laptop computer platforms.
The S90 Lite uses the latest Gen4x4 NVMe controller and 176-layer 3D TLC NAND flash. It utilizes PCIe Gen4x4 and NVMe 1.4 protocol as an interface to achieve rapid sequential read and write speeds up to 5000/4500 MB per second, which is ten times faster than a SATA III SSD. The SSD drive is also backward compatible with the PCIe Gen3 system.
Add a commentMicron Technology, Inc., today announced expansions to its embedded product portfolio and ecosystem partnerships to deliver powerful solutions optimized for complex memory and storage demands at the intelligent edge. The company is sampling to customers the world’s highest-capacity microSD card, the i400, at an unprecedented density of 1.5 terabytes (TB). This card is designed for industrial-grade video security with the world’s first 176-layer 3D NAND, also pioneered by Micron. To better provide its high-performance, ruggedized solutions to the industrial market, Micron is also adding partners to its Industrial Quotient (IQ) partner program. Additionally, the company is announcing it has received the first International Organization of Standardization (ISO) 26262 Automotive Safety Integrity Level (ASIL) D certification of memory for its low-power double data rate 5 (LPDDR5) DRAM, which is based on its first-to-market 1α (1-alpha) process node. With next-generation advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) applications requiring increasing levels of autonomy and safety, this certification validates that Micron’s LPDDR5 meets strict functional safety standards and positions it to enable innovations that will unleash full autonomy in intelligent vehicles.
