The 16GB flash drive enables 155MB/s read and 11.5MB/s write on 0.25W idle and 0.67W load. The 32GB model reads at 155MB/s with 21.5MB/s write, and low power consumption of 0.2475W when idle and 0.75W under load.
Addonics Technologies today announced two new members of its Port Multiplier family, both designed to support SATA 3.0 6Gbps and greatly enhance the storage capabilities for a wide range of computer systems.
The new products are the Internal 5-port 6G Port Multiplier, which is an excellent solution for adding more drives to a computer that has limited SATA ports, and the 5-Port 6G Rack Mount Port Multiplier, which has more flexibility for large volume storage needs. As many as five hard drives, SSD or optical drives can be connected to these PMs. The hard drives or SSD drives appear as five individual drives when connecting to a Port Multiplier compatible controller. The drives can also be set up as a RAID group using the RAID software of the OS or the host controller.
Transcend Information, Inc., a worldwide leader in storage and multimedia products, is proud to announce its launch of the JetFlash 380 and JetFlash 510 USB Flash Drives. Thecus is pleased to introduce the N7710 and N8810U. These latest NAS for SMB and enterprise networks will debut next month at the renowned IT trade show, CES 2014. With upgraded hardware and new features and software, these two towers are powerful performers for high-speed, efficient networks. Thecus will also be showcasing its latest SOHO/Home NAS models, and invites all visitors to come by its booth, #80236 in the Gold Pavilion.
Speed, Pure and Simple
Powered by Intel® Pentium® G850 Dual Core processors (2.9GHz) and 4GB DDR3 ECC memory, the N7710 and N8810U represent major upgrades over their predecessors. They are capable of delivering blistering network speeds, and can be equipped with an optional 10Gb Ethernet card (N7710-G and N8810U-G).
Find the Ideal Setup
Users can select a RAID configuration that provides the right balance of performance and protection for their needs, as the N7710 supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, JBOD, while the N8810U supports these levels as well as RAID 60. Both can serve up to 256 users, and also feature iSCSI thin provisioning, which prevents administrators from over-provisioning physical storage space before it is actually needed, thus reducing capital spending on storage.
