Thecus is pleased to announce the world's first NAS devices with support for RAID 50 and RAID 60. These new NAS devices offer significant advances in performance and fault tolerance for small and medium businesses and enterprise customers.
Full RAID 50 support is now available in the following Thecus NAS devices: N6850, N7510, N8850, N8900, N10850, N12000 N12000PRO, N16000, and N16000PRO. In addition, all devices with 8 bays or more, also support RAID 60.
For ultra high speed connectivity, 10GB Ethernet cards are supported. Maximum capacity starts at 24TB in the entry-level N6850, and ranges up to 2.5 petabytes for N12000PRO and N16000PRO systems with additional daisy-chained Thecus D16000 DAS units.
For ease-of-use and maximum uptime, standard features in Thecus NAS devices include OLED touch panel display, web and mobile administration, HDMI output, and USB 3.0.

The Atom USB 3.0 flash drive emphasizes its convenience with an extremely small form-factor -- just under the size of a quarter. Taking advantage of its small stature, the Atom retains USB 3.0 extreme performance while exercising low power consumption. The Atom USB 3.0 flash drive is also backwards compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.1. The 8GB model offers 80MB/s read, 5.5MB/s write, and consumes 0.65W while idle, or 0.905W at load. The 16GB flash drive enables 155MB/s read and 11.5MB/s write on 0.25W idle and 0.67W load. The 32GB model reads at 155MB/s with 21.5MB/s write, and low power consumption of 0.2475W when idle and 0.75W under load.

Addonics Technologies today announced two new members of its Port Multiplier family, both designed to support SATA 3.0 6Gbps and greatly enhance the storage capabilities for a wide range of computer systems.
The new products are the Internal 5-port 6G Port Multiplier, which is an excellent solution for adding more drives to a computer that has limited SATA ports, and the 5-Port 6G Rack Mount Port Multiplier, which has more flexibility for large volume storage needs. As many as five hard drives, SSD or optical drives can be connected to these PMs. The hard drives or SSD drives appear as five individual drives when connecting to a Port Multiplier compatible controller. The drives can also be set up as a RAID group using the RAID software of the OS or the host controller.

The GLS85VM devices operate at full industrial temperatures between -40 and +85 degrees Celsius, giving customers data storage in a small, ball grid array (BGA) form factor that can withstand the most severe conditions.
All eMMC NANDrive SSDs have the same footprint in a 14mm x 18mm, 100-ball package, with 1mm ball pitch for increased long-term reliability. Gigastone Corporation, a leading Taiwan-based technology manufacturer that is making its North American debut at 2014 International CES, will introduce its new On-The-Go USB/MicroUSB drive at the show. The handy item allows up to 32GB of content to be easily stored and transferred in either direction between a computer or laptop and an Android smartphone or tablet.
