OWC announced today the availability of its refreshed OWC Drive Dock. Designed to be the ultimate high-performance tool for creative workflows, backup or other tasks requiring constant access to multiple drives, the OWC Drive Dock delivers a compact and easy solution with exceptional performance.
The OWC Drive Dock supports up to two, simultaneous drives and connects to any Mac or PC with the latest USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 port for data rates of up to 981MB/s; or connects to any Mac or PC with an available standard USB port for data rates of up to 522MB/s. This new dock can support both 2.5-inch drives, 3.5-inch drives, a combination of both, and can even RAID drives together for data redundancy or performance. The OWC Drive Dock includes an auto-switching internal power supply compatible with a standard dual-prong power cable and no extra power block.

Toshiba America Electronic Components Inc. today announces a new addition to its popular family of CANVIO external hard drives (HDDs), a 4TB option in its ADVANCE, BASICS and READY series.
The 4TB option gives up to 33 percent extra storage (compared to 3TB) for consumers and small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) that want to store large files and back up their data. Using 1TB platter technology allows the 4TB CANVIO models to maintain the same low-profile design as 3TB models. All models support Windows® and Mac operating systems and are compatible with both USB 3.0 and USB 2.0.

Synology Inc. today launched RackStation RS1619xs+, a 1U 4-bay rackmount NAS featuring flexible storage scalability and M.2 SSD support, is designed to deal with IO-intensive tasks for growing businesses.
