Plextor, a leading developer and manufacturer of high-performance digital media equipment, will be revealing its distinctive “breathing” SuperSpeed USB 3.0 external solid state drive (SSD), as well as officially launching the Plextor M2S Plus series.
The sleek and small Plextor external SSD combines convenience and capacity – it is compact enough to be carried and is a high performance drive that utilises the SuperSpeed USB 3.0. Its unique wrap-around LED lighting system represents different states and shows when it is being accessed using a range of illuminating patterns that resemble regular human breathing. With this radical and radiant design, Plextor has aimed to reflect the beauty of the drive’s internal engineering with appealing external aesthetics. The Plextor USB 3.0 external SSD will be available in 128GB and 256GB.
Also on display at Computex Taipei, Plextor will feature a new version of the admired and advanced, ultra-fast SATA 6Gb/s SSD, the M2S Plus series. To develop the new M2S Plus series, Plextor worked closely with Marvell to further utilise the drive’s server-grade Marvell 88SS9174 controller and SATA 6Gb/s’ potential, achieving a sequential read speed of 520MBps. The Plextor M2S Plus series was recently released in Australia – RRPs: AU$589 (256GB), AU$305 (128GB), AU$165 (64GB).

Team Group Inc. had actively deployed strategic products for the year 2011, and will release all new card reader series products for the first time at 2011 Computex. The first that was announced would be the 42-in-1 USB 3.0 high speed card reader – TR1151. It combines three major features of high performance, compatibility and lightweight in one, supporting the new generation SDXC UHS-1 specifications and weighs only 80 grams with an ultra thin volume. It is said at the moment to be the smallest USB 3.0 card reader in the industry.
Team Group’s TR1151 card reader has a colorful painting design targeting the younger consumers. Two different types of Pop Art designs add more fun to users’ everyday life.
