silicon_power_touch_t01.pngLeading memory storage brand, Silicon Power announces super mini-size Touch T01 flash drive today in response to the market trend of mobile devices.  The overall dimension is minimized by 30% and there is only 10 mm of length is in sight when it connects to the USB port. Therefore you are able put your laptop or tablet personal computer into the handbag without having to retract the USB flash drive which upgrades your storage data mobility!

In addition to portable device, Touch T01 is even suitable for the consumers using flash drives daily. Those include usages of connecting to car stereos, mp3 players or digital photo frames. It is not only more convenient but also expands the storage space for music, photos and other multimedia files. Touch T01 provides an array of choices in capacities from 4 GB to 16 GB to satisfy customer’s various requirements.

Touch T01 is designed with a compact shape that shows its stylish sense. The brushed metal material prevents the surface from fingerprints. The lidless design is also very user-friendly. Utilizing state of art COB (Chip On Board) packaging technology, it acquires dust-proof, vibration-proof and waterproof functions and reduces risks of data loss.

Intel Corporation is making using a solid-state drive (SSD) easier with the introduction of its latest, Intel® Solid-State Drive Toolbox 3.0.

intel_ssd_toolbox.jpg

New features include:

  • The ability to make firmware updates under Microsoft Windows (instead of DOS).
  • Even easier graphical user interface (GUI) — (see photos).
  • Contextual help — integrated, same-page one-click help pointers.
  • A System Information button to help guide tech support troubleshooting.
  • Hyperlink to Intel® SSD webpage for instant access to additional SSD information.
  • The Intel® Solid-State Drive Toolbox has gone global. It is now available in 11 additional languages.

SSDs provide users one of the single best performance boosts to their PC system. But SSDs don’t behave the same as a traditional hard-disk drive (HDD.) For example, because they are so much faster than an HDD and are based on silicon, there is no need for SuperFetch or disk defrag. SSDs also have the benefit of firmware updates for the latest product improvements. These firmware updates can now be performed under Windows or via Command Line Interface (CLI.)

adata_32gb_microsdhc_uhs-i.jpgADATA Technology, a leading manufacturer of high-performance DRAM modules and NAND Flash application products, is expected to introduce its first micro SDHC UHS-I memory card in early November, aiming at the growing market of consumers who use smartphones and tablet PCs to enjoy real-time audio and video. The company brings a strong professional NAND Flash research and development team to the task of upgrading audio and video applications for smart mobile phones and tablet computers, and MicroSDHC UHS-I memory cards have the highest competitive advantage as regards cost effectiveness.

With the spectacularly increasing computing power of smart phones and tablet computers, the ability to simultaneously enjoy multiple applications such as web-browsing, 3D gaming and full-HD video recording/play-back requires unprecedented high IOPS performance on removable memory cards. Skip-free 1080p resolution video recording and fast application installing and launch are heavily affected by fast access speed of uSD cards. To address these needs, latest smart phones have already started supporting SD 3.0 UHS-I interface, which is four times the speed of SD 2.0 interface.

In view of this, ADATA will be introducing its first microSDHC UHS-I memory card, with read speeds of up to 20MB/second. The company is stressing random write (IOPS) speeds up to 50, with random read speed (IOPS) up to 500. This represents more than a tenfold improvement in small random file operation performance compared to the current uSD cards.
