Nothing against CD Freaks, but please provide the original link whenever you can. Give credit where its due, right?

As far as the results go, I'd like to see the discs tested on a non-Lite-On drive.

But how noisy is this drive?
Benq DW 1640 and 1650 , Plextor PX-755, Pioneer BDR-208 and 209D, LG GH24NSC0, LG BH16NS40 and 16NS55, Liteon ihas 124F and 324F, Pioneer DVR-215 and S21, Samsung SH-224DB and 224GB, and some more

Well, it IS a Lite-On...so it'll sound like this...
BenQ 1655, BenQ 1620, LG 4167, Plex PX-716SA, Samsung SH-S162L, SH-S182M, Pioneer 111D, Lite-On SHM-165H6S and 1.9TB of HDDs to feed 'em and an X2/4800 to crunch for 'em.

the drive is no faster than 18x PCAV drive from LG.

Edit #2: Don't care though...fast, and burn quality looks sweet. Anyone know where to order one in the US?

Not that I know of. I don't even have one yet. :cry:

Has anyone confirmed that it actually uses a Panasonic chipset?

you are right, my bad.
the H22N is a Panasonic-chipset based drive, and thus is CAV. so it's 18x CAV. and already burns a full disc in just over 5 minutes.
there is a possibility of aother drive H12N, which would be a Renesas chipset, and thus is expected to be a PCAV drive. 18x PCAV - quite possibly less than 5 minutes!

yeah, burn quality seems to be quite good with the latest LG drives (H10N/L, H20N, H22N) at least on quality media.

in the same topic there's the verfication: a pic of the Panasonic chipset in the H22N.
