So far, we have MAM-A claiming that they have authorization, but don't need it.

Now we have comments from Philips on this whole matter, saying that since the MID codes for DVD+R have to be registered, there is deffinately support for legal actions taken against companies stealing/abusing other companies' MID codes

The company who is confronted with misuse of his registered MID code is in a number of legislations able to start successfully a legal action.
There are already two cases known to me where actions are taken and the company misusing stopped producing such discs.
Surprisingly enough, we have not yet heard anything official from Taiyo Yuden on this matter
So what do people think of all this?
