I don't know if this has made the rounds here before, but our local paper had an article on the Stella Liebeck awards (named after the woman who sued McDonald's after scalding herself with spilled coffee). Apparently they prefered spectacular cases to doing proper research because, although they linked to the official website http://www.stellaawards.com, they listed the bogus awards which are really funny! (I particularly liked the one about the Pepsi and dog food )
Some of the cases listed in the genuine awards for 2003 and 2002 are also rather outrageous, but the outcome is a bit more reassuring in most cases!
