Computer Universe does ship to Israel but it is 35 Euro for a 1 kilo package. A kilo is about 2.2 pounds.

last time i checked, amazon ships internationally but only CDs, books etc., not electronics products.

All I can suggest is PriceWatch, find a vendor that has the speakers you want and see if they ship internationally. Before you order from them, check their rating on BizRate or ResellerRatings. This method requires more research to be done, but by shopping around for the best deal, you could save a bundle.

Allow me to pontificate on why overseas shipments are not made. Several years ago, my Discover card number was used by a group of thieves to make a number of purchases. As my physical card was never out of my possesion, I didn't realize this until it would not work at my local supermarket. The security algorithm had detected an unusal series of purchases that was out of my profile and had closed further usage. I called Discover and refused all the bogus charges. Among these was a purchase from a small business not experienced in the fraud of these rings of international thieves. As a result, he accepted an order for some merchandise to be delivered to Southeast Asia. He was totally left holding the bag as there is no way to collect or prosecute in these countries.

I don't expect that he will ever ship outside the USA again.

Here are a few online stores that ship internationally and that have the speakers you are looking for: either the Altec Lansing ATP3, 2100 or Logitech Z540, Z640. I used Pricewatch to find these vendors, and it didn't take very long to do so. Enjoy.

I did find this store selling the Klipsch 2.1 speakers, they do offer international shipping in some instances; although from the looks of it, they will only accept wire transfer and/or international money order.

i went to pricegrabber.com -> Computers -> Multimedia -> Speakers, and using the filter Manufacturer = Klipsch, the 2.1 set is not listed!!!
there are 2 4.1 and 2 5.1 sets, but not the 2.1 set.

am i doing something wrong?

i guess no 2.1 Klipsch for me...

The six-month rating is good, I would also check some recent user reviews before ordering from Micro Pro. After looking at the recent user reviews on ResellerRatings, I see they have about 20 positive reviews and only 3 negative ones in the last three months, which is very good. Also, if you look at the negatives, one of them was partly the customer's fault; for security reasons, many companies won't accept different billing and shipping addresses, therefore I cannot blame Micro Pro for being careful.

My final verdict, I would order from Micro Pro without hesitation. My only advice for you, dodecahedron, would be to call or Email them (which you have to do anyway for an international order). By calling or Emailing you get a feel for how good or bad their customer service is. If you are satisfied, place the order.

P.S. I found another online vendor that sells internationally - www.outpost.com. Fry's Electronics owns Outpost.com, and if you have been browsing the Hot Deals forum, you know Fry's is well-known for great prices and great service. In my experience, Outpost.com is the same way. Outpost does not have the Klipsch speakers you want, but they do have the Altec Lansing ATP3. On a better note, they make no mention of not accepting international credit cards, so you may be able to use your credit card with them. Much easier than a wire transfer, isn't it?

but like you said, they don't carry the Klipsch products.
the others - Altec Lansing, Logitech etc. can be got here too.

i'm thinking of the Altec Lansing ATP3, while here it goes for some $120 vs. around $60 in the US, the headache of international shipping, customs issues/charges etc. and the discomfort of warrantee/service/RMA - well it's just not worth it, i'll get them here.
i still feel i'm getting a good bargain. they're going for $120 now, just a month or so ago they were $165 !!!

It is nearly always much cheaper for us to order internationally than to buy it locally. Klipsch speakers, HP printers, Linksys Wireless LAN, Supermicro dual boards, NEC DVD writers, Ritek DVD+R media, Newsweek, Nanao LCD, Penguin Books, etc. And that is so even considering FedEx from overseas to South Korea is minimum US$30. In 2001, Crucial DDR memory modules via FedEx costed one third to one fifth of Samsung DDR memory in Seoul. Linksys 54Mbps AP four times as expensive as Amazon.

I know for my friend in Singapore, it is cheaper for him to buy RAM, CPU's, motherboards, hard drives, just about any kind of computer hardware in the US and have it shipped to him rather than buying locally in Singapore. This baffles me. Why is it cheaper to buy computer hardware, which was probably made in Singapore to begin with, in the US? I look at my Maxtor hard drive and it says "Made in Singapore". Yet the local shops in Singapore charge an arm and a leg for the same hard drive! I realize the business behind it all, but come on, it's ridiculous! It only benefits Americans! I said to my friend, "Go to the Maxtor factory in Singapore and take some hard drives!" He doesn't have to steal them, he'll pay the factory what they charge for the drives here in the States.
