02 June 2009

sandisk netbook sdhc card.pngSanDisk Corporation  today announced the SanDisk Netbook SDHC™ removable flash memory card, offering consumers an easy and affordable way to significantly increase their netbooks’ storage capacity. Consumers simply insert the SanDisk Netbook SDHC card into a netbook’s card slot to add capacity instantly. This news expands upon the previously announced next-generation SanDisk® pSSD™ product family, which serve as drop-in replacements for hard disk drives (HDDs) in netbooks.

The SanDisk Netbook SDHC card gives consumers the ability to increase the netbook’s storage capacity by 8 or 16 gigabytes(GB), effectively doubling the storage space offered in most solid-state drive (SSD) powered netbook models. The card resides within the netbook, which decreases the risk of it being damaged while the netbook is moved.
