Samsung Unveils 840 Series SSDs At SSD Global Summit

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., the world leader in advanced memory technology, today announced its new lineup of high-performance SSDs designed for use in personal computers. The new series supporting SATA 6.0 gigabit-per-second (Gb/s) interface comes in two tracks; one for general computing purposes and another, an advanced lineup dubbed ‘PRO’ for serious users.

The Samsung SSD Global Summit held at the Shilla hotel in Seoul, Korea, was attended by approximately 70 tech media and power bloggers across the globe for a first-hand experience of the new series. The ioSafe N2 will provide end users with a disaster plan straight out of the box while enabling them to maintain complete ownership of their data and total control over how it is secured, accessed and backed up. The N2 is designed to provide all the benefits of the private cloud with fast local transfer speeds and none of the security risks and privacy issues associated the public cloud.
