CDRLabs kicks off the week with another look at Samsung's latest NVMe SSD, the 990 EVO Plus. This time around, we've reviewed the 1TB version of the drive which combines Samsung's DRAM-less "Piccolo" controller with their 8th-generation 236-layer V-NAND flash. The 990 EVO Plus also offers support for both PCIe 4.0 x4 and PCIe 5.0 x2 interfaces as well as a long list of features including Samsung's Intelligent TurboWrite 3.0 technology, AES 256-bit hardware-based encryption and support for the company's Magician software.
