Biwin, an industry leader in flash storage products, today announced the world’s first 10-channel 2.5-inch SATA III (6 Gbits/sec) SSD, the enterprise class NuvoDrive NX, offered in 80GB, 160GB and 300GB capacities.
Virtually all current SATA III SSDs have 4- or 8-channel controllers. The NuvoDrive NX’s is based on an advanced new 10-channel controller that alleviates the issue of flash bandwidth on the SATA III bus for high speed sequential transfers. The 10-channel controller also, for the first time, makes popular 80GB, 160GB and 300GB capacities available in a SATA III SSD.
NuvoDrive NX features a large 256MB DRAM cache to dramatically accelerate random write performance. NuvoDrive NX will deliver up to 80,000 4K random write IOPS for both compressible and incompressible data types. It supports sequential read and write speeds upwards of 500 MB/sec.

As the world leader in storage media, RITEK Corporation will showcase its complete series of Blu-ray discs at Computex, Taipei, from June 5th through June 9th. RITEK offers BDXL Blu-ray discs with multi-layers, high density, and 100GB capacity, to accommodate the growing needs for 3D Digital TV and Blu-ray hardware and software. Also, RITEK will present a series of USB 3.0 storage products and high-speed memory cards.
The increasing penetration of 3D video media has been accelerating the world's demand for storage discs of mega capacities. According to data from Photonics Industry & Technology Development Association (PIDA), the global demand for Blu-ray discs totaled 210 million units in 2011 and is expected to reach 400 million in 2012. The era of Blu-ray has arrived, with the strong demand for high-quality video and audio. RITEK introduced PTM technology from the electronics and optoelectronics division of Industrial Technology Research Institute and successfully cast the fine-recording process for Blu-ray discs. This will speed up RITEK's ramp-up and cost control in the high-end Blu-ray products. In fact, RITEK is the only optical disc manufacturer in Taiwan receiving government support.
In addition to premier Blu-ray products, RITEK will also present 50GB BD-R DL (dual layers) and 25GB BD-R (single layer) at Computex. RITEK's Blu-ray discs are highly compatible, reliable and durable. The specially-designed hard coating ensures the Blu-ray discs are resistant of scratches, finger-prints or dirt. RITEK also offers printable Blu-ray discs, a beautiful and efficient storage media that allows consumers to print out the texts and graphs they enjoy.
RunCore, the leading manufacturer of high-performance and rugged solid state drives (SSDs), today introduced its latest consumer-grade SSD for ultrabooks and MacBook Air, the Rocket Air SSD.

Corsair, a worldwide designer and supplier of high-performance components to the PC gaming hardware market, today announced the immediate availability of the Force Series 3 SSD Notebook Upgrade Kits. The kits, available in sizes of 120 GB and 240 GB, provide users with an easy, affordable way to upgrade their laptops to a solid-state drive (SSD) for improved performance, battery life, and reliability.
Corsair SSDs provide significant advantages over standard hard drives. The solid-state design enables SSDs to deliver faster data read and write speeds which can reduce software load and PC startup times. And because SSDs have no moving mechanical parts, they help laptops run cooler, run longer on batteries, and resist data loss from bumps.
Force Series 3 SSD Notebook Upgrade Kits simplify the process of upgrading a notebook from a hard drive to an SSD drive. The kit includes a USB-to-SATA cable and easy-to-use migration software for transferring existing operating system, application, and data files from an old hard drive to the new SSD. The new SSDs come in a slim 7 mm high case designed to fit in most space-constrained laptops.
