QNAP Systems, Inc. (QNAP), a leading provider of networked storage and computing solutions, today announced the release of a new TS-x32XU rackmount NAS series, consisting of the 4-bay TS-432XU, 8-bay TS-832XU and 12-bay TS-1232XU with single power and redundant power models to choose from. The TS-x32XU series inherits the classic exterior design and all features of the TS-x31XU series and combines it with a new 64-bit Alpine AL-324 ARMv8 Cortex-A57 quad-core 1.7 GHz processor by Annapurna Labs, an Amazon company, and DDR4 memory. These hardware improvements bring performance boosts and enable support of snapshots, Qtier 2.0 tiered storage and RAID 50/60. With the high cost efficiency of the TS-x32XU, small businesses can benefit from faster operations and simplified workflows.
The TS-x32XU series comes with two 10GbE SFP+ network ports, two Gigabit network ports, four USB 3.0 Type A ports and one PCI Express (PCIe) 2.0 x2 slot. The hardware is capable of supporting versatile daily operational needs with additional expansion opportunities provided by the PCIe slot. Available QNAP expansion cards include the QXG-10G1T 10GBASE-T/NBASE-T™ Multi-Gigabit wired network adapter, QM2 M.2 SSD/10GBASE-T expansion cards and the USB 3.1 Gen 2 (10 Gbps) Type A expansion cards. The Gen 3x4 PCIe SSD controllers, the 4-channel 88SS1084 and 8-channel 88SS1100, bring leading performance, endurance and reliability to the industry and will help broaden the adoption of NVMe SSDs across emerging client and edge computing applications. ASUSTOR Inc. today has announced two new NAS devices will be released; the AS1002T v2 and AS1004T v2. These new models are upgraded versions of the AS1002T and AS1004T and uses an upgraded CPU now at 1.6GHz, providing better read and write performance than the previous generation. In addition, the hard disk controller has been redesigned to allow a hard drive capacity of up to 12TB.
ASUSTOR product manager Johnny Chen said: “Compared to the previous generation, the write performance of the AS10 v2 series has increased by more than 20%, providing home users with a smoother and faster storage experience. In addition, ASUSTOR offers a number of energy-saving designs in protect the environment and save money.
