BiTMICRO revealed today its next-generation SSD Talino ASIC Architecture. This revolutionary two-tier architecture will be the basis for the company’s upcoming maxIO line of I/O accelerators and solid state drives.
The company’s new architecture begins with their Talino™ Quad Core ASIC controller, which integrates embedded processors with a high speed multi-bus design to achieve maximum performance. A single Talino SSD controller can reach up to 400,000 random IOPS at 4KB and can perform up to 4,096 concurrent flash operations. Memoright, a Taiwan-based developer of SSDs (Solid-State Drives) and high-end storage devices, independently developed the QuadLife Series MLC-based solid state drive with its firmware R&D team. The QuadLife Series includes the Endurance Write firmware architecture developed by Memoright to extend the life of SSDs by more than four times compared with typical MLC-based SSDs. With four times the average life span and cost effectiveness, the QuadLife Series serves as an ideal solution for cloud computing, business servers and similar industrial PC applications.
Memoright QuadLife Series SSDs are available in capacities of 265GB and 530GB in a 2.5-inch form factor and 220GB in a 1.8-inch form factor. The IronKey Workspace lets organizations outfit mobile professionals with a secure, fast USB platform to run Windows To Go from a USB stick on multiple compatible PCs, an ideal solution for teleworkers, contractors, and those implementing BYOD (“bring your own device”) strategies.
The IronKey Workspace is certified for deployment of Windows To Go, a feature of Windows 8 that lets enterprise users boot a full version of Windows 8 from an external USB drive on compatible host PCs.
