Maxell Corporation of America, a global technology leader, today announces the addition of new products to their Flash Memory / Digital Storage line-up. The new additions were developed based on today's need for products that offer greater speed and increased performance for the "Capture, Store and Share" user experience.
Today's market is all about speed and performance and with the new SSD (Solid State Drives) from Maxell users will be at the top of their game. With astonishing write and read speeds and a lightweight design, users will be able to upgrade their current systems (laptops) and bring them to a whole new level of performance. Maxell's SSD offers a 210 MB/s write and 230 MB/s read speed in 1.8" and 2.5" form factors - identical in size to most of the current internal HDDs.
The SSD drive will be available using MLC (Multi Layer Cell) flash technology to offer speed and performance at a reasonable price. Available SSD capacities are: 64GB to 256GB with a roadmap to 512GB late in 2011.

SDXC Cards
Designed to increase the experience in capturing, storing and sharing important moments, the SDXC (Secure Digital eXtend Capacity) cards from Maxell deliver speeds up to 50MB/s, offering the speed and capacity that is necessary to support features that are available in today's consumer electronic devices, mobile devices and industrial devices.
Featuring a class 10 speed and UHS-1 (Ultra High Speed) for the BUS interface, the Maxell SDXC card offers the latest in memory cards, along with much needed speed and performance.

SDXC Card Readers
As an accessory to the new SDXC Card from Maxell, the SDXC card reader makes it easier and faster to move high volume contents between a memory card and computer. High definition videos, high resolution pictures, or anything else that you have on your SDXC card can now be quickly transferred to your computer and vice-versa. The SDXC card reader has four different ports: SD, Micro SD, Compact Flash and Memory Stick™ and supports most memory cards available today. The device connects to the user's computer via a USB 3.0 cable to ensure high speed data transfer rates. The SDXC card Reader is Bus powered and does not required external power supply.

USB 3.0 Flash Drives
