Xbox 360 elite HD DVD bundle now on Amazon

As I mentioned on my site, Amazon.com is now offering an Xbox 360 elite HD DVD bundle that includes the Xbox 360 elite console, the HD DVD Add-on, 300 on HD DVD, King Kong HD DVD (included in the Add-on package) and 5 free HD DVD's via the mail in offer.



This bundle is currently featured on the front page of the "VideoGame" category of Amazon.com.

Will this help HD DVD adoption rates or is this a move by Microsoft to help counter the PS3 and its' Blu-ray playback capabilities?

Both? The latter more so than the former...the PS3 still costs $100 less for the time being. Granted, you get an HDMI cable and double the HD capacity.
