What is DMA ?

I have seen a couple of posts on this and would like to know what dma is and what I need to look out for in win home xp. Thoughts?

Hello Brad,

DMA = direct memory access. The ability to pass data from a hardware device to memory without using the cpu. It's quicker than going through the cpu.

You can use Dodecahedron's instructions to see if it is enabled on your computer.
