video card ?uestion

i have a radeon 9600pro 128mb and im running p4 2.4 asus mobo

well, my question is: after playing medal of honor for a while, the gernade flashes start to turn like a bright purple-ish flash. its definitly 'different' from when i start playing. im guessing its cus of the heat. i have the fantemp program (i think thas what its called). so when i quit the game and chk the temp, its at like 106* or so. last night it hit 116* quickly. i know MOHAA doesnt have all the hot graphics as other games. i dont have the PCI slot fan.

do you guys think the fan there will help?
or is this just normal

What ATI drivers ar you using?

I've seen some sites reporting that ATIs newest drivers, 3.8s, are causing the cards to get hotter then before. Even a few cases of the new drivers forcing unsupported refresh rates and damaging some monitors.

I know there is a rather lengthy dicussion going on in the maximumpc forums about it,
