Verbatim Producer 4

Postby homenetman on Sat Apr 19, 2003 11:05 am

Does anyone have any info or experience on the Verbatim Producer 4, the 4x model from this company. BestBuy has on sale for $229, but I can't find any reviews on the drive. Must be using someone's drive (Ricoh? NEC?) but I can't find that out either. Thanks.

It's based on the NEC ND-1100A

Ian, not only is it the ND-1100A, it's also with the newer firmware, 1.A0, not the 1.60 or 1.70's. They changed the way thhey made the drive a bit, resulting in a higher yield to keep up with demands from vendors.
