Upgrading firmware for BenQ DW1640

Do I have to upgrade it passing through all the releases till the newest one or can I just reach for the newest?

Also, recommend a site that offers step by step info on flashing firmware, as I have never done it before. And if you are so kind, just till me now!

The BenQ "Drivers" web page for the DW1640 has a downloadable Firmware Flash User's Guide. I suggest you download and read it for instructions on how to flash the firmware in your BenQ.

You only need the most recent firmware update.

Yeah you only need the latest firmware,the only time you would use incremental firmware is if you're cross-flashing(ie:OEM to retail,using firmware intended for another model).
When updating firmware:close the tray,do not have a disc in the drive and do not turn off the PC.
