I'm trying to compress 3 hours of poor quality vhs video to dvd using Pinnacle Studio 8 and it's telling me that there's not enough room on the disc, which I can believe. I used my mini DV canon camcorder to record from the VCR and then firewire to capture the video. I know that the Studio 8 software is trying to compress the video, but it won't let me get it down to the size I need. Are there any tricks or other software that will let me accomplish this. I'd really like to get this all on one disc because I have to make 50 copies. The original video quality is not that good, so retaining quality is not a big issue. Is there any way to compress the audio track?
