trouble with windows media player 9 series

I have tryed and tryed to install WMP 9 series for the Nero plug-in. But keep getting these messages

Windows media player is not installed properly- re-install
do you wish to re-install the player from microsoft web site
YES OR NO

Then i get: it is not possible to complete setup, windows media player 9 series was not installed, to update media player set up again.

I have do this how many times?

Would somebody please help me!!!!! please
