let me get your view on why you switched to ati
Personally, I'm a nVidia man. But this time...the X1800XT is just as fast as a 7900GT in most games, blows it out of the water in Oblivion, and can be had for $240 if you grab the 256MB version (vers. $300). I got the $300, 512MB version - 2x the memory of the 7900GT!
Performance wise the differance between the 256MB & 512MB versions is zip...now. I'm hoping the 512MB helps when Crysis ships - it's my "big" game for now. Quake Wars/Prey won't be too much more hardware-intensive than Q4, so no problems there (2048x1536 w/4xAA @ ~35+FPS). Considering my monitor only goes to 1600x1200, this thing is gonna rock
Besides, it just seemed wrong to put a 6600GT into a 2.66GHz Core 2 Duo!
I do HATE how their stupid control panel needs .NET, though...
BenQ 1655, BenQ 1620, LG 4167, Plex PX-716SA, Samsung SH-S162L, SH-S182M, Pioneer 111D, Lite-On SHM-165H6S and 1.9TB of HDDs to feed 'em and an X2/4800 to crunch for 'em.
