is there LG GSA-40481B??

hi guys.
today i noticed that newegg.com has a LG GSA-40481B dvdrw and actually i never heard of it and they claim that the drive support 8x dvd +/- ...

anyone have any idea about it?

I believe that is a type-o, I think the real drive name is the LG GSA-4081B, I think they just threw an extra '4' in there.
Punch Cards -> Paper Tape -> Tape Drive -> 8" Floppy Diskette -> 5 1/4" Floppy Diskette -> 3 1/2" "Flippy" Diskette -> CD-R -> DVD±R -> BD-R

anyone know if it's worth spending the extra bucks to get a plextor instead of an 8x LG??

If you want a drive that is proven to be fast, have high write quality, and have high build quality, get the PX-708A.

If you want to be one of the first to try out a new drive, and are willing to be a guinea pig, get the GSA-4081B.

or, if you're interested in DVD-RAM, then get the LG.
