Question about CDRW media, could someone clarify please

Postby aznlstar on Tue Nov 26, 2002 7:51 pm

if a CDRW is 24x rated, is it able to rewrite at this speed for the rest of its life. Or does it only burn a few times at 24x, then revert to 4x?

A post awhile back was asking about the number of writes you could do on RW media...and someone stated something about how the 12x media could do XX number of burns, before it drops to 4x.

thx in advance

Any CD-RW media always burns at the same speed. If you buy 24X media, for the life of the media it will write at 24X. CD-RWs can be re-written up to 1000 times.
