Is LG 8x +R AND -R??

Hey,

right now i'm trying to decide whether i should get an lg x8 or a tdk 8x (plextor rebadged). I was gonna get the tdk, but i heard some people say that the lg is also 8x -r. could someone verify if this is true or not? if it is, should i go for the lg?? help please!

Wait a short while, there should be reviews on both the LG 4081 and the Nec 2500 which are both 8X -R drives if you really need that function.

The 4081 only does DVD-R at 4x, and DVD-RW at 2x. Are you thinking of the upcoming LG 8080B?

If you want a drive that is proven to be fast and of high build quality, and has high write quality, go with the TDK (708)
