liteon 165H not support C1 error reading?

Ive been pondering for a while why my dvd rom drive using CH12 firmware does not work with kprobe and i had a play in nero cd/dvd speed cd quality test, today i realised unchecking the show c1 errors box and running the test ois fine and dandy but ticking the box and running the test brings up a error box saying could not run test, kprobe has no option to only use c2 error test so it fails with a servo error as soon as you start it

my ltr52327s however is fine with both c1/c2 reading

is the 165H not compatible with c1 errors?

DVD-ROM's don't work well with KProbe.

but what about nero cd/dvd speed? it could explain why the dvd drive only works reading c2 errors and not c1 when i untick the c1 error box?

afaik c2 errors are more vital than C1 but i guess i could just use teh cdrw drive for both tests
