What choice to make..??

Postby tiberiu01 on Sat Dec 06, 2003 4:13 pm

Hi all, I decided to buy a DVD-RW/+RW, please recomand me one which is the best but is not too expensive.
I think Pioneer DVR-A06U DVD±RW it's a good one and also TEAC DV-W50D 4x DVD±RW.

Thanks to all,
Tibi

Go with the Pioneer A06, it's arguably the best 4x drive, and pretty well priced too. :D
Punch Cards -> Paper Tape -> Tape Drive -> 8" Floppy Diskette -> 5 1/4" Floppy Diskette -> 3 1/2" "Flippy" Diskette -> CD-R -> DVD±R -> BD-R

The TEAC DV-W50D is also based on the A06. Unfortunately, TEAC is a little behind on firmware updates.

I've been happy with my Pioneer A06 and would recommend it.

I just got the AO6 from ecost.com, 119.00 after rebate.
Use DVDShrink and the bundled Nero to burn.
Works perfect every time. Not one coaster...

That's a great price. I guess with the A07 coming out, the A06 prices are dropping.

Maybe I should have waited a little longer before buying my A06! :)

I also loved my A06. The quality of my burns from my old A04 is not as good, but the A06 burn quality has been excellent. I've been using ritek G03/G04 and ricohjpn disks and they work great on my ps2 and standalones.
