Is this MSI DVD burner same as this one ??

Hi guys,

I would like to order a MSI DR4-A Dual mode DVD burner in Canada but after I ask around the MSI distributor locally carry a model called MSI 8404A. It's dual format burner. I cannot find this model on MSI website.

So my quick question is 8404A equal to DR4-A ??

Please kindly advise.

all MSI products (motherboards, video cards etc. etc.) have, in addition to a model "name" a "model number" which is usually a 4-gidit number. MSI 8404A is probably the same as MSI DR4-A.

damn! i searched www.msi.com.tw for some 12 minutes to no avail...no part number only model name...
