Problem uppdating my firmware pioneer dvr-106

Postby Kardanmannen on Sun Nov 09, 2003 5:46 am

first of all, escuse my bad english =)

Hello, i have downloaded the file "DVR-106D v1.07 - RPC-1 + 2xDVD-R + 12xRip.zip" and in the readme file it stands:
DVRFlash -vf I: R6100006.107 R6100106.107

but the file "R6100006.107" wasn't included.
where can i get it?

i started anyway with the command
"DVRFlash -vf I: R6100106.107"
and when it was ready it stands "warning the dvd is in kernel mode" (or something like that)

what shall i do?

do you have a true pioneer? or like a re-badge, like a memorex?

if regular pioneer, go here:

http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=1615

otherwise this is another great pioneer firmware site:

Since you did not follow the proper procedure, you have put your burner in the fail-safe (kernel) mode.

The good news is that it's not dead and you just need to reflash both R6100006.107 and R6100106.107 files as instructed. You need to flash both Kernel and Normal files as explained by >NIL and Flashman in the following link:

http://forum.rpc1.org/viewtopic.php?t=19405

and you should find the missing Kernel file from either >NIL or Flashman's website.
