Trim W2k partition to fit on one CDR? (using Ghost)

I just recently installed W2k on my E: partition with dual boot (W98).
After getting all the updates from MS and SP4, I discover that my E: drive has 1.29GB used.

Will Ghost high compression compress 1.29GB to 700MB?

I have deleted the uninstall folder for SP4, (149MB). I got a soft called Xteq Systems X-Setup, and removed the "uninstall" entry from Add/Remove Programs. I DL the complete SP4 (130MB), in case I need it later, it's on a seperate partition.

I want to use Ghost, (as I always have, to backup W98), to backup W2k.

I don't have any programs installed in W2k, except some utils, Getright, Firewall, Propel accelerator, Winzip, Winrar.
I store all my temp files on a seperate partition, except Propel accelerator.
My ISP just added Propel accelerator for free to premium customers, and they haven't gotten back to me on my question to specify directory for it's temp files. The temp files are small at the moment though.

There are no programs in Windows setup that I can uninstall, (I wanna keep wordpad, notepad, ect). It won't even let me remove paint or imaging.
Any suggested methods/sites to trim the "Fat" from a W2k installation?
I'm only going to use W2k for its NTFS, and large video files. There is no other networking stuff installed, just 56k dialup.

I'm not sure which version of Ghost you use, but the command line:

"ghost -split=649 -span -auto" will cause it to create 649mb files, automatically named in order. (span tells it to make a multi-file set).

This works for the corporate edition, creating a file, I don't know how well it works on CD. It should automatically span across CDs without any special tricks, I would guess.

(of course, if it MUST fit on only one CDR, that's a whole other issue)

I'll try that. I have Ghost 2000, so I'm not sure if it will work in W2k.

I have a more serious problem at the moment and am posting new thread,
