Postby bill2 on Wed Nov 05, 2003 4:34 pm

Hello,
I am having trouble copying DVD,s,I was also having trouble copying CD-R,s,I have sorted the CD copying out with the help of two members on the CD-RW section,I did not have all the devices enabled to DMA,but I still have the same problem with DVD,s,when I try to copy a DVD the buffer underrun flutuates from 10% to 99% and it is taking twice as long as it should(am told) it takes about 35 minutes at 4x speed to copy 4.2Gb if I,m lucky,I would be very grateful of any help or advice,my system is,
Windows xp home sp1
MSI K7N2 Motherboard
AMD Athlon 2500+ Processor
Hitarchi DVD-Rom
Pioneer DVD-RW+- 106D
1 120 Gb HDD
1 60 Gb HDD
GeForce3 Graphic,s card
I have tried copying disc to disc and hard drive to disc, both with same result(, as above)
again thank you,
Bill.

What about channel configuration?

For example:

Primary slave drive: Lite-On LDW-411S
Secondary master drive: Seagate 120GB 7200.7
Secondary slave drive: Plextor PX-708A

Add-on PCI channel 1: Maxtor 100GB 5400rpm
Add-on PCI channel 2: Seagate 120GB 7200.7
Add-on PCI channel 3: Western Digital 400BB
Add-on PCI channel 4: Seagate 40GB ATA IV
